Autonomous Cars

Prior to this week I knew little to nothing about self driving cars. The closes comparison I had to the topic was teslas self driving mode which, still, I know nothing about. I learned a lot this week and was able to shape my own opinion on wether I am in support of this revolution, or against it. One interesting things I learned was that these cars are going to improve the economy and the way that we live our live. Nico Larco in his TED talk, How Will Autonomous Vehicles Transform Our Cities?, Explains how the economy will change. The most enlightening information I gained from his video is that our cars are parked for majority of the time. If we can change that by have cars constaintly driving themselves, it would eliminate the need for parking lots. Opening up more land for housing,making living a little more affordable. Another interesting thing that I discovered, form another video, was that this innovation will give access to people who are disabled and handicapped. By having access to mobility it will improve the quality of life for them, and allow them to live fuller, happier lives. After learning everything I did, and hearing both supportive and nonsupportive arguemnts, I would say that I am in support of the future of autonomous cars and the impact they will have on this world.
